Privacy Policy

How we handle personal information you give us through this website. Last updated 4 October 2026.

Who we are

Waterna Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales, company number 13360186, with its registered office at 12 Glenferness Ave, Bournemouth, BH4 9NG, United Kingdom.

For the purposes of UK data protection law we are the data controller for personal data collected through this website. If you have a question about this policy, emailinfo@waterna.co.uk or call +44 7450 201927.

What we collect

We collect personal data in two ways.

Information you send us. If you use our enquiry form we collect your name, email address, and — if you choose to give them — your company name and telephone number, together with the content of your message. If you email or telephone us instead, we hold whatever you tell us in that correspondence.

Technical information. Our hosting provider records standard server information when a page is requested, including IP address, browser type and the page requested. This is used to deliver the site securely and to protect it from abuse.

Cookies and analytics

This website sets no cookies of its own, uses no advertising trackers, and runs no third-party analytics. Fonts and images are served from this site rather than from an external network, so loading a page does not disclose your visit to another company.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We use the information you send solely to respond to your enquiry and, where it leads to work, to carry out that work. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us about our services, and, once we are engaged, the performance of a contract with you.

We do not use your details for marketing unless you ask us to, we do not add enquirers to a mailing list, and we never sell personal data.

Who we share it with

We do not share your personal data except with the service providers that make this site work:

  • Our website host, which serves the site and keeps the server logs described above.
  • Our email provider, which delivers enquiry-form messages to our inbox and carries our ordinary email correspondence.

These providers process data on our instructions under written terms. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within 24 months. Where an enquiry becomes a project, we keep the correspondence for the duration of the engagement and for six years afterwards, which reflects our professional and contractual record-keeping obligations. Server logs are retained for a short period by our host.

Where your data is held

Our providers may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, we rely on safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • ask what personal data we hold about you, and receive a copy;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • ask us to delete data we no longer need;
  • ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it;
  • request your data in a portable form; and
  • withdraw consent, where we relied on consent.

To exercise any of these, email info@waterna.co.uk. We will respond within one month.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and revise the date at the top.
