Waterna RO Insight™
Understand performance. Plan your next move.
Turn routine RO plant data into engineering insight for membrane health, cleaning decisions and energy performance.
Built for reverse osmosis, not a generic plant AI.

- Multi-rack analysis
- Offline AI assistant
- Fleet benchmarking
Five diagnostic modules, grounded in process engineering
- 01
Fouling & membrane health
Separates permeability loss from damage to the salt barrier, using the water and salt transport coefficients, before production is affected.
- 02
CIP lifecycle
Detects each clean, scores how much performance it recovered, and forecasts when the next one is due for each rack.
- 03
Scaling risk
Tracks carbonate scaling and a multi-salt saturation model, corrected for temperature, and names the limiting mineral as risk rises.
- 04
Energy optimisation
Prices the energy cost of fouling and excess feed pressure, and checks energy recovery device efficiency, in kWh/m³.
- 05
Fleet benchmarking
Ranks every rack against the fleet on normalised performance, so hidden underperformers stand out.
Each module runs continuously and explains itself: a finding, its likely cause and a recommended action, traceable back to its inputs.
Monitoring that keeps working between reviews
Scheduled reports
Set recurring analyses once, such as a weekly fouling and CIP summary, and have the results delivered to the people who act on them.
Forecast alerts
Get warned while a value is still normal, when its trend is heading for a limit, with an estimate of how long you have.
Operator notes on the timeline
Record a dosing change or a clean against the data it explains, so the reason behind a trend is never lost.
Answers that show their working
Every assistant answer comes with the data it used and a confidence level, so engineers can check it rather than trust it.
Built-in AI assistant
Ask questions in plain language and keep the analysis on site. Forecasting uses an existing machine-learning model applied to your plant's own history.
Give me a concise summary of the current plant status.

Safe to connect to a running plant
Read-only, always
RO Insight™ reads plant data. It never writes setpoints, sends commands or takes control of any equipment.
Your data stays on site
Deploy on-premise, with the AI assistant running offline on your own hardware. Cloud is available if you prefer it.
Auditable results
Every finding is built on first-principles engineering calculations and traces back to the readings it came from.
One KPI framework, from control room to boardroom

Questions people ask
Is this a general-purpose AI chatbot?
No. RO Insight™ is built specifically for reverse osmosis. Its findings come from process engineering calculations on your own plant data, and the assistant answers from that data, showing what it used and how confident it is.
Can RO Insight™ change anything at my plant?
No. It is read-only. It never writes setpoints, sends commands or takes control of equipment. Decisions stay with your operators and engineers.
What data do you need?
Twelve months of operating history, so the analysis covers a full seasonal temperature profile. Data can come from historian or SCADA exports, CSV files, or a live feed from your DCS or other OT systems.
Does it cover ultrafiltration or other processes?
RO Insight™ currently supports reverse osmosis, for seawater and brackish water. For UF systems, our UF & RO Performance Assessment service covers the engineering review.
Where is RO Insight™ available?
In the United Kingdom, the European Union, the United States, Canada, Australia and Africa.
How is it priced?
Under licence or subscription, scoped to the size of your plant. Contact us to discuss your requirements.
